Biography

I am a solo practioner located in Henderson, Nevada, and am licensed to practice law in the state courts of Florida and Nevada, the federal court of Nevada, and the Supreme Court of the United States. I graduated from Washburn University School of Law in 1990, and hold an undergraduate degree from Wichita State University in Kansas.

I started my legal career in the state of Florida where I worked as a criminal prosecutor and was appointed to the Special Prosecutions Unit, emphasizing the prosecution of Capital Sex Crimes against children.

In 1994, I moved to Nevada and began working in Domestic Relations Law, which encompasses the fields of Family Law, Estate Planning, and Elder Law. Thirteen years later I am happy to report that I still enjoy my practice and would not change a minute of my career. I have had the opportunity to see the legal system from many viewpoints, having worked as a clerk to a Family Court Judge, an Alternate Hearing Master, child advocate, legal instructor, and private practicioner.

I have an active litigation practice which keeps me busy in court most of the time, but my passion is educating people about their legal rights and helping them plan for a future that avoids litigation and maximizes the ability to protect and plan for their family's future.
